He was back. I could feel his stare piercing through me, even as I was faced the other way, making my heart bang wildly against my ribcage and my eyes gloss over with fear. And even though we had the thick, fogged glass of my prison walls separating us, it still felt as though I was trapped by him.

Only when Gavin stepped off of the ferry did he begin to feel the heat of the island, but as soon as he did, it didn’t feel like work anymore. As far as he was concerned, this was a vacation on the deserted tropical island of La Portchesca, a few miles east of the Virgin Islands. Gavin Macintosh was just seventeen, and getting to work with this mysterious director on a secret project was going to shoot his career up into the sky. They would be shooting in Backteach Bay, and all Gavin could hear whenever his agent said the name was the sound of waves crashing as he layed on the sandy shore. He ran his fingers through his light-brown hair
